Get off the guy's back. First of all, I'm not on his back. Second of all, there is no misconception. My comments are based on what he writes. What he has written several times is that WHEN he starts to sell some prints he will THEN use higher quality paper. His statements are future tense, not present tense. I have suggested to him that this logic might not work. Many people think they can cut corners in the beginning of their business because they can't afford to do certain things. But the fact is that they rarely get to a position where they can "do it right" after they make some money because they don't make the money because of the corner cutting. Thirdly, if I can help a guy make some money (if that's what he wishes to do), then I'll comment when I think he's making a mistake. Jerry has commented time and time again about the expense of papers. Many of his posts do not distinguish between personal use and commercial use. He has gone through all the expense and headache of purchasing archival inksets, more printers, and image acquisition equipment. He has mentioned that people have brought back prints to him because they've faded and that upset him. Therefore, it seems to me that if one goes through all of these steps, and knowing that printer/ink/paper are a system, that not using a certain paper that is recommended to use with a certain ink *might* be a mistake. But simply dismissing it due to cost is short sighted. === Explore potential income opportunities with Greer and Associates at http://www.ibocity.com/greeraa.
