I thought I would get into color printing with an Epson 1200, but I have been scared off by the posts about fading. For example, Paul Bingham wrote: "Epson photo paper with Epson inks showed noticeable fading in 5 days and at 60 days the image was almost totally gone". I am also puzzled by the nonchalant attitude about this. If my prints didn't last 60 days, I'd hit the roof. Heck, I would be disturbed if they didn't last 10 years. So I don't understand why everybody doesn't ask for his money back. Could somebody explain to me what I'm missing. Are the fading reports totally exaggerated? Do they only happen with cheap paper and cheap ink? Is there some other explanation? Thanks, Al - Please do not include an entire message in your response.
