It is said that the large middle class of phographers is becoming extinct. The sad part is that many photographers think they are on the top when they have no idea where the top is - it is far beyond their wildest imagination. If you are using $5.00 paper to produce $5.00 prints the paper costs are too high. Why not talk about what you charge to make a print?
