For the error messages you showed, it looks like a conflict with other software
steups in your computer. I recommend calling Adobe for tech support. An
alternative (and free for 90 days if you have not called them before) is Microsoft
at 425-635-7222. They will likely walk you through their program msconfig
(Start>Run>enter msconfig) using the program's "selective startup". Its fuction is
to selectively disable other things going on with your computer to get your
software working. It usually points out the culprit.

In a way, msconfig works kinda like (but nowhere nearly as well) Conflict Catcher
on Mac.

With conflicts like this you will often get finger-pointing which is somewhat
understandable because support techs don't know what's going on with other
software. I have found Microsoft helpful because they assume a somewhat neutral
position.

Keep in mind that uninstalls and re-installs aren't always the equivalent of a
fresh install. Even re-installing Windows doesn't completely re-install it. I
recently gave in and re-formatted my hard disk, starting from scratch. It's a
drastic measure but not as bad as I thought, correcting the problem in 1/4 of time
I had already spent. It does however teach you the true meaning of backup.

By the way, if you call any company for software support and don't get a
satisfactory response just call back and present the situation to a different tech,
who most likely will troubleshoot in a different fashion, often producing results.

(I hope this isn't too off topic - but it's hard to Epson if your PS is dead. . .)
