I'm sorry Jerry, but Peter is not right. One can make money paying $5-$6 per
17x22 inch sheet.

Jerry,

Make no mistake about it, I'd LOVE to pay $2 per 17x22 inch sheet. But paying
an extra $3-$4 per sheet does not make it unprofitable. I've read you
constantly complain about the price of these papers. You feel that they are
grossly overpriced and that you have limited funds. Fair enough. But in the
same light, I've read about your acquisition of a 3000 and a 1200. I've read
about your ordering Fotonic Inks, MIS inks, and Mediastreet inks. I've also
read about your consideration of a Nikon film scanner. Now considering that the
Silver inks have been available from US distributors since before the
availability of the Fotonic inks via UK to US gray market (and you paid a
premium for them), and they are practically the same, if money was such a
concern I don't understand why you didn't save a pretty penny and get the
Silver inks.

My point is that your money issue seems to be conditional. When it comes to new
toys and ink, you willing to foot the bill. But when it comes to the media that
will be delivered to the paying client, you object and claim that if you could
sell a print for $500 it may be worth it. We'll probably never agree on this,
but I think the cost issue you raise over an additional $3-$4 per sheet is
legitimate, but certainly not significant. If in fact there are other papers
that provide all of the same qualities has the more expensive paper, then we'd
be fools for paying the additional sum. But it has not been proven to my
satisfaction that other less expensive papers do match all for the qualities of
the more expensive papers.
