I know Vasco, he seems to be a straight shooter. Everyone I talk to
tells me the same thing about rip vs. no rip. Someone is jerking my
dealers chain. The printer works just fine without a rip. 

If you want to run multiple images at various sizes and you want color
profile capabilities then a rip is needed. You can also purchase a good
rip for a lot less than $5300.00.

FWIW - When I bought my HP2500 from Charette, Rhona told me it would
take 4 weeks to get the printer, they are made in Spain, 4 days later it
was in my office and operational. That is a company who understands
customer service.
