Black and white prints

I am wanting to make prints of some artwork done in black ink.  I am wnating 
these prints to be on the same artboard that the artwork is on.  I am ssuming 
that the Epson 3000 will work well for this (most of the work is 14X17).  
What would be the best setup for making these prints?  I am seeing alot of 
questions about color tints appearing in B & W prints and I would like to 
avoid them before I set up my equipment.
