Tomcat suggests placing some windex on the cleaning pad (Some models have 2 pads, I assume that the 600 has only one). Then park the carriage over the pads and let it sit for several hours or so. I sometimes use a cartridge filled with Ultra Fill from www.WeInk.com. I dilute some ink 10 to 100 fold as a tracer, so that I can use the nozzle check utility to monitor progress. Sometimes I alternate 1-3 cleaning cycles with printing out 1-3 pages of solid black (in your case). Sometimes I alternate 1-3 cleaning utility cycles with several hours of doing nothing; then running a few nozzle checks with a few minutes inbetween each one; just doing nothing for a few hours works best! Since you ran so many cleaning utility cycles, you may need to insert a new cartridge. But try gently jiggling (reseating) the current cartridge as described in the advice for the poor 400 owner. -- Ben Haskell - * Free Ground Shipping (N.America) for two weeks only!
