If the other suggestions didn't work, then try this:

Under your printer setting, go to the tab that says 'Details'   Open it and
then go to the bottom where it says spool settings.  Open it and then click
on the toggle that says 'print directly to printer'.  That's it !  My Epson
700 did the same thing as yours, and this fixed the problem.  'Course, I'm
using an old Pentium 90.... but I'm almost sure it will work for you.  Don't
ask me why, though.  If you ever reinstall the software, make sure you
remember to reset it, as it will drive you crazy... I almost forgot about
doing this a month ago and ruined about 5 sheets of good paper before my
'lightbulb' went on!   Let me know.
