Besides my previous observations on PS 5.5 I have noticed that Adobe is dropping "application support" folders here and there on one's hard disk while installing new application upgrades or new installations. Wouldn't be so bad except that in some folders scattered about there are many extra fonts I don't want cluttering up my hard disk. These extra fonts make for numerous little glitches that take time to sort out. Adobe and MS apparently also are having a little war for control of fonts on the desktop. Noticed that Arial and Times New Roman got dumped in five different postscript fonts on my hard disk to provide an alternative to the MS TrueType font previous installed. (Important fonts if one does cross platform work on FileMaker Pro databases as they are nearly identical on Windows and Mac platforms.) All these extra files make printing more difficult besides taking up Epson printer spool space and requiring more directory space besides. If you do buy any Adobe product I'd recommend a careful look see to find the extra files you don't need that they've dumped on your system.
