Photoshop 5.5

It appears that everything that works with Photoshop 5.0.2 will work with
5.5. All of my Extensis utilities transferred over without the usual
entering of 20 different serial numbers. The color profiles stayed the same
in my tests but I do not use the high end color utilities that many on the
list do in search of color truth.

The customer Mk.V eyeball is the final judge and so far they've been happy
even if I haven't about some details that refuse to come to true life color.
Might be an Epson thing with their inks instead of a monitor-scanner-printer
thing. Some trademark colors and tissue colors (organ, skin or whatever) are
tough to get right.

Image Ready seems to fit well with Photoshop and they trade files with
little problem. Not sure why a person would mess with ImageReady when they
have Photoshop but it's there.

It seems a little pricy for an upgrade but it all works and the various
memory schemes are neat to play with to restore a wiped out image. Oh yes
the Adobe rebate will ask for a proof of purchase off the 5.5 box but there
isn't one so send a Xerox copy of your CD instead.
