International Changing Model Numbers

I live in Japan, and I have found that not a single one of the Epson printer
model numbers discussed (in English) on any Web site (including Epson Korea,
Hong Kong, UK, and US/Canada) matches what I find available at my local
computer stores!

This doesn't bug me too much, except that I suspect any printer I buy here
will be supplied with Japanese Windows 9x drivers, and possibly won't run
under English Windows 9x.

I'd like to know which model numbers in Japan match which model numbers
outside Japan, and which model numbers in Japan do not yet correspond to
*any* other model numbers, due to "newness."

For example, the Epson brochure I have here (in Japanese, dated 99.07.12)
lists:

PM-3000C
PM-2000C
PM-770C
PM-750C
PM-680C (NEW! It says...)
PM-670C (I think this is the same as the -680C, but with no USB)
PT-100

Any ideas??
