My new  message somehow got  transmitted as part of a quote from your
earlier message. My new message is:

     I have no doubt that I could discern the differences between a
16x20 print made
 with a 3000 and a 16x20 print made with a 1200 (if it were possible)
from 5-6
 feet. By the way,  the new Epson 9000 wide format printer has the  same
6 head
technology as the 1200. This printer is obviously designed to make
prints even
 larger than 16x20. If one were to accept your premise, the 9000 should
use the 4
 head technology of the 3000. The newer technology used in the 1200
would just be
 a waste in the 9000.
