Not Happy with 3000 :-(

To all who replied to my las post, thank you (especially the compliment on
my web site).

I am a bit frustrated this morning. I was up til 1 am tweaking the 3000 on
Concorde Rag with Epson ink.

I assumed that the 3000 would have comparable print quality to my 740, so
far my prints do not reflect this.  The images are much noisier and the
contrast level is way high.

I also printed on some Kodak photo paper with the same results.  For my end
use this print quality is not fgoing to work.

What now, I guessI will sell or return the 3000 and buy a 1200 or 1520.
Which would be best and when will archival inks be available for the 1200?
