Hi All, Is anyone out there getting decent Black & White prints using both Epson paper and Epson inks? Based on a fairly straightforward setup? On a700/EX/1200? using a PC win 98? (PS5.02) No fancy inks or papers. In the past, I managed to get quite good prints with the older (thinner) Photo Paper, but the newer thicker Photo Paper has defeated me. Experimented with Duotones, Quadtones, etc. still no good, neutral B&W print. usually too magenta, or blue, or a sometimes pleasing warm tone (but usually too much). As well as standard printing as an RGB colour file. So, any suggestions, settings, workflows etc. Or any mainstream papers that work well with the Epson inks for B&W: Ilford, Konica or whatever. (I know, Quadtone ink, Somerset velvet etc - but that will have to wait) - Please do not include an entire message in your response. Delete the excess. http://www.leben.com/lists for list instructions.
