Jones, using Character Studio from Discreet/Kinetix. Today I opened up the August issue of <U>Cadalyst </U>and it's mentioned on page 20. It consists of dancing hand drawn figures, animated with motion capture. Normally, I think of most VR as a bad imitation of real life. This is not VR but another reality altogether. It's eight minutes long and I imagine it will be shown during Siggraph, either as part of the Siggraph reel or in the Discreet booth (#2029 South Hall). So while you're waiting your turn to print with archival inks and whichever printer in the Studio, seeing <EM>Ghostcatchin</EM><EM>g</EM> might be an worthwhile diversion. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>(Unfortunately, I will not be in Siggraph ecstasy next week as I had planned and will have to get my vicarious pleasure from those on the list who do make it and report back. Meantime, I'm trying to find out how to get a copy of this video).</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Kathryn Reddie</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>TRINKA</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2><A href="mailto:trinka@email.com">trinka@email.com</A></FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML> </x-html>
