It's a little technological jewel.  Feels good in the hand, compact, fast
auto focus, quiet, good motor built in, great lenses. But it is pricy, and
it is a rangefinder type viewing system to boot - good for some, not for
others.

Nikon is certainly still as good as any, and better than most. I thought
that about the lenses too, but mine are holding up well.

Measurements wise, maybe a little. Practically speaking, the Nikkors from
that period are still about as good as anything out there.

Well, there's a fine can of worms for you.  To my mind, it kinda boils down
to whether you ever need to work fast in bad light or not.
