Tedlar lamination Was: fading for unbelievers - Service Bureaus

There was an earlier thread on a very thin lamination material (Tedlar?) that
was supposed to protect the surface but be pretty invisible. The general trend
of the fading discussion has made this more interesting to me.

How much equipment does it require to use this material on prints? Would it be
practical for home use?
