My upgrade to Photoshop 5.0.2 (from Photoshop LE that came with the 1200) *finally* arrived yesterday, and of course my first prints do not match the monitor. I may be missing something here, but it appears that the Adobe Gamma calibration facility sets the monitor at full-on contrast and leaves it there. Not too suprisingly, my prints are about 2 grades (darkroom parlance) less contrasty than my monitor. Color and overall density seem OK tho, so I'm wondering if some kind soul who understands these things will explain. TIA, Dave King, using Windows 98 - Please: Stay on topic.
