Hi Vicki - In my message dated 7/13/99 I was inquiring about artists who were << primarily digital artists using Epson's to output their *virtual originals* as *physical prints*. In other words, artists for whom scanning is a non-event.>> You wrote in response: << I consider myself a purely digital artist. However everything I do *starts* out with a photograph or several photographs....it all starts with the scan of a photo. >> I recognize your position and validity as a digital artist - and thank you for explaining that you do not fall within the group I am seeking. I'm still curious if there are digital artists, who use the Epsons - who DO NOT do what you do. I'm not making value judgments - I'm just making a curious inquiry to determine if there are any digital artists reading this particular list who do not ever use scanned images of any kind in their digital originals. Not because I believe it's wrong to do so - I'm simply trying to discover if there are any other animals in this jungle like me :-) ?? ...Rob - Please: Stay on topic. Trim quoted messages. http://www.leben.com/lists for list instructions.
