Actually, there's quite a bit of pre-press stuff in Artistry. After all Haynes and Crumpler prepare the book themselves for publication - thus are quite expert on and aware of the subject. Definitely agree re Margolis. Also, to add to the page dispute, remember that Artistry is in a different format which definitely permits more words per page than Real World. Don't know or care exactly how it adds up. -----Original Message----- From: owner-epson-inkjet@leben.com [mailto:owner-epson-inkjet@leben.com]On Behalf Of CDTobie@aol.com Sent: Friday, July 09, 1999 5:02 AM To: aldridge@maccore.net; epson-inkjet@leben.com Subject: Re: Photoshop 5 Artistry] In a message dated 7/9/99 2:50:56 AM, aldridge@maccore.net writes: >>Almost four times as many pages-per-dollar. >> >>Come to think of it, "Professional Photoshop" >>(Dan Margulis) is also a rather slender volume. >------------- >And we know quantity is always the be best barometer of quality! >Opps, now I gotta get my tongue outta my cheek! However, to look at it from the other side; I can't think of a hunderd pages that could be clipped out of Real World PS5, let alone 400... so if its all vital, and quite condensed, then the others simply aren't covering it. My bet is its the pre-press stuff left out of Artistry, and the color management stuff left out of Margulis... C. David Tobie Design Cooperative CDTobie@designcoop.com - Please: Stay on topic.
