Projecting a slide onto a flatbed scanner is a grate idea.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
You would have to&nbsp; place a translucent paper over the
<p>glass of the flat bed for the image to be projected onto.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The image would <font size=+2>blur</font><font size=+1> out</font> as the
scanner tried to see
<p>the image through the paper or plastic.&nbsp; It would be something
like trying to photograph&nbsp; a scenic view by
<p>photographing&nbsp; the ground glass of the view camera.&nbsp; Well,
maybe the idea <font size=+2>isn't </font>so good after all.

<p>Your idea actually may turn out to be more

<br>the scanning mechanism way, way down in order
<br>to get a reasonable exposure of the CCD array.

<br>the scanner would have to be disabled.
