Re: Free sharpen filter from MetaCreations

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I downloaded it based on an
advertising email they sent me a few days ago. Filter works okay but
nothing stupendous. And the filter preview takes over your whole screen
(as do all the KPT plugins) so you can't see the actual preview, just a
preview box. Plus the filter does not work well on large files -- it gives
a memory error on files that other sharpening filters handle with ease
(including another company's deep bit filters which are working on a
doubled size 16 bit file). And I think they only work on RGB files and not
on CMYK (also like other KPT filters). I'm not particularly impressed --
but it was worth every penny I paid for it considering it was free. Might
come in handy for something but like a lot of these all-in-one plug-in
things Photoshop's built in stuff usually does it better if you know what
you are doing.
