Some applications will still look in the "old" location in the prefs folder, so the safest solution is to put all the profiles from the Prefs level folder into the one at the root level of the system folder, then replace the folder in Prefs with an alias to the root level folder. To make things even more complicated, some apps call this folder by its exact name, so you need to add the TM symbol after colorsync to get the exact spelling of the old folder you are replacing.
