SUBLIMATION PRINTING FOR MUGS

Could anyone give me some advice on the sublimation process for making
photo mugs. I just purchased an Epson 800 and brought the Sublijet
cartridges from Sawgrass. I will be buying the Mighty Mug Press in a few
weeks. At present this is a Hobby/Business that I hope to do full time
in a few years when I retire.
Instructions from Sawgrass says that I should print daily or at least
once per week. I have been getting used to the 800 for a few weeks, and
find that the printer seems to spend more time cleaning itself, then it
does printing for me. Is the Epson part of the cat family? Our family
cat is jealous of the amount of time the Epson cleans itself. The
Canadian price for this ink is $320 for the cartridge set. would I be
best to do nozzle tests every day or so ?
