Re: EX and USB port?

Not having enough grief lately, I decided to try USB with my new 900.
PCMagazine had reported many problems of the sort you mention with WIN95
but that WIN98 was supposed to be an improvement. Since I'm using 98, I
went for USB (also to free up my parallel port for various other equipment).

Results: 100% satisfaction. It does not SEEM to matter whether or not the
printer is turned on when I boot up - it just comes up and works. I'm not
at the location now where the printer is so I can't report any driver
versions, etc. but so far, for me at least, it works great.

(I haven't tried using the parallel cable yet...)
Good luck!
