 There is a very simple way to tell if Roland's inks are indeed Epson's.  
Open up the cartridge, look at the silver bag, if it have as black lines 
vertical and horizontal about 3/4" from the edge and then at the bottom just 
above the labile that says pigment, there is a barcoded label, peel back this 
label..  it more than likely will say EPSON under that label.
