Thanks for your comments, which I accept without reservation.

Your specific questions with regard to Lyson Fotonic Professional
Inks & Media, and Quad Black Inks:

1)  Lyson advise the use of cleaning cartridges when changing
from one product to another. - In our digital imaging workshop,
we change from Fotonic Professional to Quad-Black and back
with no cleaning cartridge, we use the normal purge cycle on our
Epson 3000.  It would be advisable to flush your system before
changing over to Lyson Fotonic Professional / Quad-black to
ensure permanence of the first few prints produced.

2)  US distribution arrangements are unknown to me - I suggest
you contact the Lyson Office for the US at www.lyson.com 

3)  My information is that the plans are only to market Fotonic
Professional and Quad-black in cartridge form at present.  This does
not preclude bulk ink packs in the future.

4)  The availability status of Quad Black Inks - We are shipping these
in Cool Tone (Selenium), Neutral, and Warm Tone (Sepia) for the Epson
3000 and 5000 now via subsidised DHL courier world-wide.  Quad Inks
for other Epson printers will be released within a matter of 8/12 weeks.
The Lyson release schedule for both Fotonic Professional and Quad-Blacks
are posted and regularly updated at www.marrutt.com
