I am late on this one, so forgive me if I am off-base. I think that I 
am way off with the following...

A couple of months ago MediaStreet poked into this newsgroup with an 
offer for a free sample package. It was blatantly commercial, but so 
many other companies, such as Weber-Valentine & Bulldog, do the same 
I just considered it the price you pay for this list. I sent away for 
the sample and now have a great source for matte paper and can 
recommend the same to my clients. Be thankful for small commercial 
favors.

I am ambivalent about advertising, but this particular example surely 
helped me. Sometimes advertising crosses the line and you can feel 
taken advantage. Other times you feel thankful that the information 
reached your desk.
