Russel, to me you sound like a person who cares about his subject and wants
to help others. I'm also incredibly grateful.

To date I've not yet got a print acceptably close to what's on my (Adobe
Gamma calibrated) monitor but with each attempt it gets better. (1200, Win
98, 5.02, iiyama pro 17). I guess the main problem is that there are SO MANY
variables! It's frustrating that what seems to work for some cannot be
applied universally - I've tried every suggestion and none is close enough
for me. But what's hopeful is that so many of us are trying. I hope the
noise we're making gets through to manufacturers and software people.
