If anything goes wrong, you send it in for repair or call customer service. With a NT based RIP you always have the problem to convince people of the need of a PC - "I'll have never a d... Windows based DOS-Box in my house connected to my Macs!!!". I know this situation very well because our BESTColor runs on NT. Often I'd liked to remove the keyboard and monitor and sell the box as hardware RIP like a Fiery where you cannot reach the operating system and can do nothing else with the box than RIP.
