Stylus Photo 700 printer driver

I've downloaded and installed the driver for the
700 from the Epson Australia web site, and when
installing (I should have written it down) I
thought it said it was version 4.5e. A test
print doesn't give anything meaningful as it
still says the driver version is 4.00 and none
of the file versions are changed.

What *is* the latest version of the driver for
Windows 95/98 for the Photo 700? The one I've
installed looks identical to the original off
the CD (4.1ae). I previously installed a driver
which was on the Epson UK web site which had
facilities for sepia prints in the settings,
but for some reason *didn't* give visual displays
of the ink remaining.

Also, having upgraded my PC to a new motherboard
and Win98 the Epson Status monitor can't communicate
with the printer - even though the printer prints
just fine. I've set the BIOS for ECP/EPP mode on
the LPT port but this doesn't seem to make any
difference.

Suggestions appreciated!

Rob
