I think you all have missed the point of Mikes post. He is simply saying that just because you drop a bunch of money on equipment and tools does not make you a professional. In his mind (i believe) and mine also, I believe that the person who has lesss opportunity for fancy high dollar stuff, but who intimately knows his so called "cheap stuff" can usually out perform the so called "pro's". I don't know Mike or what prompted his post , But I have seen time after time, suggestions being made to buy this or that to correct a problem when usually it can be done with what you have if you knew how th use it! The ability to use certain tools or equipment is what should define professionalism not whethter or not you get paid for it. Just 'cause you got a wrench don't mean you can fix the car!! I think this is what mike was trying to get across to us all and I have to totally agree with him if it is.
Now , what started all this anyway? Does ANYBODY know?
