What Minolta film scanner is this, you are all talking about? I have a Scan Speed and it
performs fine with slides - even the underexposed ones. I must say, I'm using it with a Mac
and I have to use the ColorSync ICC profile that came with the most recent driver. The
underexposed slides also need some minor tweaking in Photoshop (a one step curves
adjustment) but that's really no problem if you have 36 bits at your disposal. So I don't
miss the manual exposure control. But perhaps the Windows TWAIN driver is worse? I don't
know ...
