With respect to my own earlier post, it has dawned upon me that the syringes will not empty when vacuum is applied unless the syringes are mounted outside the vacuum enclosure . Also, it was pointed out elsewhere that a syringe used in a similar way may bind and need nudging. Why go to the trouble of making a vacuum enclosure?: Well, it would save making temporary seals with tapes or mastics, and should allow all the compartments of a color cartridge to be refilled simultaneously. Possibly the method might be useful when refilling cartridges that tend to leak between compartments. Still seeking comments.
