I do not have the info about the ease of switching inks but....Changing inks in
the 2200/2100 should not use anywhere near the quantity of ink as the 7600
because (I'm making an assumption here) in the 2100/2200 the ink cartridges go
directly over the ink heads, so there is very little waste (unlike the
7600/9600, that has over 2 feet of tubing that need to be filled with inks) when
switching.
That said, I seem to recall that only one of the 2 blacks was archival (I think
it was the matte black), and.....at least for us, we only print on the matte
surface anyway, as all the glossy papers are less stable than the matte ones.
And if one is not interested in the archival quality of the inks, why would one
bother with the 2100/2200 over the 1290/1280?
