Gang, I've been using Epson printers for almost a decade and I've never experienced this problem before. It's happening with my 1270 and 2000P when printing from any application. When I print, I can't continue to use the application that I've printed from until the print job is finished. When I try to click on the application window, I get the Window's "bong" sound letting me know I'm trying to do something that is not acceptable. In other words, while the job is printing I'm locked out from the application that initiated it, but not other apps (I'm running Win XP). Now, this was not a problem until I reinstalled the Epson Status Monitor 3. The monitor was not displaying ink levels, so I downloaded the latest version from Epson's web site and installed it. Now I get the ink levels, but I can't continue to use the initiating program until the print job is finished. Is there a switch that needs to be flicked somewhere? If so, where is it? I've looked everywhere. This is drving me nuts. ===== Visit my digital photography web site along with a lot of other interesting stuff at http://www.mikegreer.com.
