I have the same question/concern, Bob.  My understanding is that
changing blacks on the 2200 won't use up nearly the same amount of ink
as doing so on the 76/9600 printers (which have large pads behind the
heads that sponge up a lot of ink).  

In any event, the differences between printing with the Photo Black and
Matte Black inks on matte paper may be so negligible as to not warrant
making the switch, but rather sticking with the Photo Black if one uses
both papers (otherwise, if printing only on matte, might as well go with
dual matte black carts).  I'll be interested to test this myself once I
(finally) get my 2200.
