I think I'll stick to the mailing list. I prefer it because it's trivially
easy to keep individual messages: just don't hit the Delete key. I find web
based discussion boards (like the ones at dpreview.com, which is otherwise a
great site) to be far less useful because it's such a pain to save messages.
Personally, I prefer NNTP newsgroups to everything else, because it allows
you to download the headers, and not bother with the bodies of messages you
don't care about. But many people don't have newsgroup access, so mailing
lists are a reasonable compromise.
