I have very good luck with my 1270 in this regard. I often use thick papers,
e.g., Red River Denali 77# and Premium Matte 88#, 110# index, etc. It almost
always prints dead-on, although every once in a while it will feed slightly
crooked. I've used HP printers with the curved paper path and they often misfeed
even plain paper. I've never used the HP 1220C however.
