It turns out that I was using Win98 drivers. Switching to Win2000 drivers
helped get the functions back, but for some reason that the ($10 fee) senior
Epson tech couldn't figure out, part of the content of the menu boxes is cut
off by the right edge of the (Note well) *MENU BOX* itself, not the screen,
and I have to do things like setting up user defined paper sizes via the Tab
key.

At least it works and I've got my paper sizes defined, but, if this is a
driver installation defect, I wonder what else I might be in for.
