Michael,
I would think that there are many reasons to look at the 2200 (and the rest of the new Epson printers) over the old ones beyond the Ultrachrome inks, and further, I can see the desire to use 3rd party inks with the new Epsons (once they have been developed for
these machines).

The printer divers are much more sophisticated in the new machines, allowing for ink limits etc., and the variable droplet size is a big plus, along with that 7th color (light gray).
