Is InDesign doing something special?
740 printer driver version 5.57E, MacOS 9.1
I discovered I could get really good text results on some 25% cotton
paper I had using InDesign -> pdf -> printer. If I print directly
from InDesign 2.0, the upper left corner of the page comes out with
too much ink.
Then I tried the same text, font and size in FileMaker and Word. They
give me the crummy results over all. Converting them to pdf (via
Distiller) does not improve things even though the pdfs from all the
different apps look the same on the screen.
I'm ready to pull my hair out. What's going on here?
