By definition, 'A3' is twice as big as 'A4'
...  nominally 8"x11" > 11"x17"
 
 
That pretty nominal!
 
A3 = 8.27 x 11.69in
 
A4= 11.69 x 16.54in
 
 
a lovely, logical system....
