RE: Different size outputs from same file

By definition, 'A3' is twice as big as 'A4'
...  nominally 8"x11" > 11"x17"

That pretty nominal!

A3 = 8.27 x 11.69in

A4= 11.69 x 16.54in

see: http://www.tssphoto.com/sp/dg/weight.html

a lovely, logical system....

I have created these in A3 size but I also wish to be able to print them out in the smaller A4 size.
Am I losing anything in terms of quality if I simply use the scaling dialogue found in the Epson Priniting Preferences Layout menu to make the size reduction from A3 to A4?
