I've had mine for ages and never noticed this.  Yes, I read all the material when I first got it!  (s)

 

I wonder why yours makes different sounds? (as opposed to a gentle 'boink', like the sound you made as a kid when you placed a finger in your cheek and popped it out)

No, I do have the Windows version of CSConnect, but the option for Multiple
Measurements only seems to show up after you have started the program and
when you right-click on the CSconnect icon that installs itself in the lower
right of your taskbar. I only found it after reading the instructions!
