The procedure didn't work as written, so I added this step, right here between step 5 and 6: HOLD the LOAD/EJECT button down for 5 or 6 seconds. The paper out light will stop flashing, and the bottom 2 lights will start blinking. Now go on to step 6 etc. > 6. Release the button and the printer will initialize. > 7. Thank you, Phil! > Now can anyone tell me where I can purchase 1160 waste ink pads? > The ink pads in my EX were made of heavy felt. I just took them out (4 of them) and rinsed in the sink until the water ran fairly clear. I dried them flat by the furnace overnight. No problem, except how to reset the printer. (It had all the lights blinking). Problem solved! Yay! > Phil > Juneau, Alaska. Eagles, Whales, Glaciers, Bears. What else? - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
