Two-Monitor & Wacom Issue

I too have migrated to a 2-monitir system a couple of months ago and cannot
remember how I was able to work with just one monitor.

I did see an "interesting" problem with 2 monitors & the wacom tablet (and
yes, I had the latest drivers).

When first setting up my new system, it just had a single monitor (flat
planel). Eventually I loaded all the software and files from the old
system, and replaced the old system, installing a trinitron monitor as a 2nd
monitor.

When I did this, if I was using the Wacom tablet, the cursor on the screen
literally oscillated. I had not seen this problem with just one monitor
(either the CRT or the flat panel)... only with two monitors (the video card
has the nVidia ti4600 chipset).

I fixed the problem by doing something I have never done: first I read the
manuals for the two monitors, and then secondly I set each monitor to the
manufacturer's recommended refresh rate and resolution (instead of the
Windows default).

While this did fix the problem, I am curious as to why.
