Re: Watercolor paper
Title: Re: Watercolor paper
I've printed extensively on both Somerset Photo Enhanced and
Epson Watercolor.
There's no comparison in my opinion - the Epson paper feels like
a wood-pulp paper, it's cardboardy and rough-surfaced - similar in
many ways to blotter paper. It's not a terrible paper, I like to use
it for certain things, and people tend to like the feel of it - but it
can't compare to the 100% rag Somerset paper, which feels like a real
printmaking sheet and makes just gorgeous prints.
Mind you, the epson paper is 1/3 the cost, and I think it is more
than 1/3 as good :) This is why I still use it sometimes.
Hi
all,
Has anyone
tried epson Watercolor paper? What does it look like compared to
wellknown papers like Hahnemuhle Photorag, Somerset...Does it print
good, sharp?
Tomas
