Wait a minute...you have been calling a Spectroscan; but the device built by 
SpectroStar is the SpectroCam, not the SpectroScan, which is a GretagMacbeth 
product with a much higer price. Is this a hand held unit a bit larger than a 
mouse (SpectroCam), or an autoscanning XY table with a SpectroLino mounted in 
it (SpectroScan)?
